Wigglebottom (1) - - MAR 17, 2015 does not count
From the cask Dow bridge can be a lovely pint, smooth with a creamy head. The one risk is the variability of the pint and the occasional over yeasty slightly sour note.

Bottle at the Cherry Tree, Catthorpe - 16/05/12.
Amber coloured with a white head.
Sweetish caramel malts dominate the nose.
Taste as nose with a little fruit in the background and some hop bitterness.
Medium bodied - drinkable but doubt I’d re-visit!

Cask (gravity dispense) at GBBF, day 4 on 4 August 2006. Attractive bronze/copper colour with decent condition and a sparse white head. Distinct caramel notes in the aroma. More malty than hoppy and bitter on the palate but the balance comes off OK. Plenty of flavour and presence.

DruncanVeasey (8326) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2010
BC. Muddy chestnut with a slim off-white sheet. Slightly buttery caramel aroma a bit like brown ale; some discreet berries, woodland hop, vinous notes, cinder toffee as it warms. Caramel, apple and pear yeastiness, earth, hazelnut, hint of coffee. A bit dull and rough around the edges, but just about the pick of the Dowbridge three pack.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2008
Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. An amber coloured beer with some off-white pools. The aroma is sweet and malty with hints of caramel. The taste has a little toffee together with caramel and berries. A little medicinal in a strange way, but pretty decent.

imdownthepub (15396) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2008
Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Amber with white head. Quite a malty, dry beer which borders on bland, but does have a touch of graininess, corn, a little tinny note. There is a light hop but it doesn’t stand out. Some fruit, but everything disappears in the mix.

Ungstrup (38593) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 19, 2007
Cask at GBBF 2006. An orange beer with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of sulphur and nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of nuts, leading to a dry bitter and nutty end with a light touch of sulphur.

[email protected] Beer Festival 2007. Brown beer with a light head. The aroma is slightly malty and dry, and the flavour is roasted, dry, toffee and hopped. Overall a nice beer.

anders37 (27237) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 21, 2006
Cask @ GBBF 2006. Amber colour with almost no head. Malty aroma with hints of caramel. Sweet malty fruity flavor with soome hints of caramel. Long fruity finish.

harrisoni (19413) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2006
Cask at GBBF 2006. Chestnut with lasting beige head. Yeasty brown bitter with good toffee and good mouthfeel. Really quite gingerish malt. Hops are there and underpin the malt. Sweetish and in marvellous condition.
