This remains our most popular session bitter. Four varieties of hops (Challenger, East Kent Goldings, Pioneer, and Styrian Goldings) provide a full range of floral and citrus aromas, and a moreish bitterness that drinks superbly down the glass.

BeardedAvenger (1022) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2017
Cask at PoW, Farnborough. A hint of apple vinegar to the aroma. Bright gold. Frothy but blotchy white head. Initially malty and a tad sour, before it gains a molasses sweetness. Light to medium bodied. Watery. Flat. Abrupt finish. The current session beer at the PoW, which is fitting. Easily drinkable due being easily downable. Not much to it.

Cask at Land of Liberty Peace and Plenty, Chorleywood, Herts. A golden coloured pour with a small white head on top. Hoppy, malty aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, some lemon. Not exactly mind blowing but OK.

Cask at the Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace. Honey coloured pour with a white head. Fruity old nose, a splash of pear and stewed apple in there. Fruit filled flavours, bit of pear drop action. Bitter-fruit finish. Nice.

jackl (8286) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 18, 2013
Cask @ The Bricklayers Arms, Putney. The pour’s gold with a small head. The nose is general pale malt. A hint of lemon and orchard fruits. Fairly faint. The taste is similarly benign. Pale malt and mild grain. A bit of dough. Light shag tobacco on the finish. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, decent if forgettable.
