RATINGS: 54   WEIGHTED AVG: 3.1/5   ABV: -
A full-bodied, traditional IPA, well balanced with a healthy dose of English hops. Reminiscent of "historical" Knoxville IPA’s.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 14/20
Drjohnrock (841) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Draft sample at the brewpub on July 14, 2012. Medium amber hue, somewhat subdued bittersweet nose, somewhat creamy texture, good bittersweet flavor with the hops front and center and the malt in an important supporting role. The recipe for this beer seems to have been tweaked for the better since the last time I had it a few years back. Very good brew.

Tap at brewery poured clear copper with a thin off-white head and dissipating lacing. Aromas of citrus, caramel malt, English hops, with hints of rye. Flavor is medium bitter. Tasty.

Draft sample at the source. The beer is a clear amber color with a white head of foam. The aroma has very moderate bitterness notes of grass and some light herbal notes. Lower to medium bitterness in the taste. Medium body and medium carbonation.

4oz on tap at the brewpub. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head, leaving good thicker lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft light carbonation. Light dry finish. Decent sort of spicy kind mildly piney hop, hint of citrus. Mostly sweet caramel malt, though. Moderate sweet taste, lighter bitter. Decent brewpub IPA.

Pours lightly cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, light tropical fruit. Taste is hop intense and bitter up front with very little balancing sweetness. Body is a touch too light.

AmEricanbrew (7065) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Clear amber color with ivory head. Mild caramel, earthy hop aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Caramel, pale malt flavors with some hop bitterness to finish

GnarlyGnome (673) - Fairfield, Ohio, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Draft, sampler: amber color with an off white head. Strong citrus aroma and a massive hoppy bitter flavor. A bit much in my opinion.
