By far my favorite beer from Dr Gabs, and probably the best craft beer produced in Switzerland. It wasn’t love at first sight though, but I keep coming back.

Not really working for me. Slightly hazy and well bubbly. Very little aroma or body. You can feel the alcohol which is worryingly kind of the best bit. Some metallic and some acidic notes. Yeasty, but I’m not convinced that it’s in a good way. Wouldn’t seek it out.

Pale Amber colour. Yeasty smell. Yeast dominates over malt. Hides the alc. very well. Not to complex, drinks easy. Not what you want from a Triple. Missing complex malt body.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 12/08/2017. Dorée, col blanc. Nez fin houblonné, avec un soupçon de fruité mais restant tout de même timide, le tout offre uj léger bouquet de malt avec une note épicée en rétro. Palais est malté ils, grains sec, citronné touche épicée rappelant la coriandre + houblon noble. Reste basique sans avoir le caractère prenant d’une triple belge.

S: Moutzoetig, licht bitter, gist, suiker en alcohol. M: Plakkerig mondgevoel. Medium, gepaste carbonatie. Commerciële tripel, maar niet mis.

Bouteille: Golden, some floaties visible, big and stable white creamy head; moderate nose of sweet pale malt, oranges, dried fruits and hints of yeast and alcohol ; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, more adstringent than soft; slightly lingering and drier finish of bitter oranges, alcohol and pale malt. Not a perfect copy of the originals from the Spanish Netherlands...

Sweet grain malts, what, yeast, light caramel. Clear gold, small, creamy, white head. Husky grains, dust, old socks, awful other flavours. This is really quite a terrible example for a Tripel, aroma is tolerable but the palate is outright horrible. Bottle from Drinks of the World, Zürich.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2017 In my point of view, it is a nuce triple. The color is a mix between the yeast and yellow gold troubled. The foam is weak, white and thin. The first impression is good, a mix between, hop, candide sugar and malt and the alcohol. This beer is perfect with a roquefort like the "chimay blanche", reading a Zola with a nice landscape and you reach the holy happiness.
