Bottle. Large tan head w/ a jet black hue. Poor head retention, but looked nice while it lasted. Nose is full of chocolate; lost of malty sweetness; some dark fruits as well. Bitter chocolate and quite sweet up front that moves on to a very sour-like flavor that I did not care for. Thinner to medium body with muted carbonation. The sour aspects really put me off, clean it up and could be good. Embrouille (2853) - SWITZERLAND - SEP 28, 2008
Bottled 33cl. 6 ABV. Expiry date: april 2008. It pours a dark brown beer with a quick diminishing beige head. Not much lacework. The nose is of coffee, chocolate, walnuts, mint, manure, white pepper and wood. Lightly acidic. The taste is nicely smoky, acidic and woody with hints of walnuts and lemon peel. Medium bodied. Nicely balanced. Wonderful strong smoky finish with hints of heather, candy, lemon peel and licorice. Deeply pleasant. Flawless taste. Thanks a lot bov for this beer! Almost opaque black color, steady small creamy brown head, some lace. Light coffeish and slightly sour nose. Roasted malty, medium to full bodied brew. Late bitterness. Ok Swiss stout - nice try, but one bottle is enough of this stuff.
Bottled (thanks Bov!). Deep brown colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, some hops and malts. Also some slight yeasty and sour hints. Flavour is mildly roasted maklts along with hops, yeast and some fruits. Rather sweet, but welldone brew. ironryan22 (52) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 15, 2006
Chuffed i found a nice stout in fair lausanne. Quite impressive really, doesn’t pack the largest punch flavourwise, but this is a smooth, dark and easy to enjoy beverage.
