I found this to be quitensmoky, both in aroma and body, and as a result I liked this quite a bit. Best Irish ale I can remember in a long time.

Hazy Amber pour. No head. Aroma is fruity. The flavor is interesting. It has a malty backbone but some district fruit flavors that last until the finish. A little tart, maybe. It's good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, nice red with good head. Not a special beer, disappointing for a red. Poor lacing

Bottle, picked up at cost plus. Pours clear reddish hazel, medium beige head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, hints of lemon. Flavor is medium sweet, hint of smoke, malty, caramel, faint lemon, soapy. Lightish body. Meh

Nutty earthy and caramel in the nose and flavor. OK beer. Not terribly exciting but nothing wrong with it either.

Bottle at home. Pours brilliantly clear tawny with a medium, tight bubbled tan head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy lightly sweet toast and caramel malt, light earthy hops with notes of leaves and faint tobacco. Flavor is lightly sweet toast, nutty, and caramel malt, light earthy and spicy hops and medium hop bitterness, and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, light alcohol warmth and peppery.

Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of caramel, tobacco, smoke and light fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, earthiness, smoke and a hint of fruitiness with a smooth dry lingering smokey finish.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark, slightly ruddy amber with a whitish head. Aroma of light sweet malt. Near med body. Flavor is metallic forward. Kind of cola. Hoppier than expected. It’s drinkable, but unless you like tangy malty beers, this isn’t for you. Certainly not for me.
