A bold west-coast style ipa. Wonderful citrus, piney aroma. Very little malt flavor evident, but packed with citrus hop flavor that finishes long and dry. An excellent sesson beer mk70 (64) - New York, USA - JUL 11, 2008
Pours cloudy golden blonde with a medium white head. Citrus fruits and pine in the nose. Great hop flavor with very little malt. Dry bitter citrus peel finish. Delicious! Wish this was part of their regular distribution. jehoey (765) - Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 30, 2008
One hell of an IPA... pours cloudy gold color with an immovable head that laces like no other. citrus, pine, with a touch of grass and soft malt in the aroma. flavor is citrus, pine, and a bit of grass but in a good way. faint biscuity backing with soft pils malt. perfect mouth feel slighty chewy with gentle carbonation. Great IPA SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2010
Thanks for this one in a trade! Its hard to trade for scratch beers when Harrisburg and Pittsburgh have very similar selections.
A- Hazy golden yellow body that pours with a 1/2 finger head. Great head retention and traces of lacing all the way down the glass.
S- Nice bright hoppy smell. Mostly citrus in the nose.
T- Some citrusy hops flavor upfront with a steady malt backbone. A bit of floral hops and pine added for the finish with minimal bitterness.
P- Nice smooth mouthfeel with medium to high carbonation.
O- This was more of a hoppy pale ale than an IPA to me. Nugget Nectar and Hopback are definitely hoppier (but a different kind of hoppy). Great beer all around and another awesome beer by Troeg’s. Can’t wait to open 11,13, and 14! Thanks again mike!

On tap and firkin at Drafting Room in Springhouse. Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma pine, grapefruit, lightly floral, mixed citrus and bready malt. Flavor of fresh American hops, pine, grapefruit, orange, bready malt and floral. Firkin was about the same, a bit more hop flavor, the orange and Amorilio really coming through in flavor.

[Draft and Firkin @ TDR SH] Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, citrus, hay, floral hops, and toasty malts. Taste of citrus, orange peel, toffee, pine, grapefruit, and a citrusy / bitter finish. adrian910ss (2572) - Doylestown, PA, USA - JUL 1, 2008
Pours a cloudy honey gold with a medium white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit and lots of hops. Taste is hoppy with a flavor of freshly squeezed grapefruit. Excellent !! michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2008
Draught at TDR Ex: Hoppy aroma. Smells of floral, fruit, citrusy, piney hops, and tropical fruits. Poured yellow/gold in color with a medium-sized rocky white head that lasted. Hazy. Slightly sparkling. Very good lacing. Lightly sweet, medium bitter flavor. Tastes of hops, flowers, pine, and tropical fruit. Medium body. Smooth, then chalky texture. Average carbonation. Dry, medium-bitter hop finish. Could be more bitter. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - JUN 28, 2008
12oz bottle, picked up for me by acrdz. Thanks, Mike! Pours a clear, medium golden-orange color; slightest haze; thick white head with solid retention and lacing. Very pleasant, dry and bitter aroma; resiny orange and citrus hops more than anything; suggestive of a numbing bitterness; no astringency. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: soft but solid carbonation; resiny, juicy oranges and citrus fruit; touch of grapefruit; the hop character takes center stage here, and is presented beautifully: chewy Amarillo oranginess and dense, tongue-numbing bitterness nicely dry overall, and very very drinkable. Excellent IPA. Medium finish: some breadiness and toastiness appear near the end, with lingering hop bitterness (oranges, touch of pine); dry and a touch of spiciness at the far end. This one has a bright yellow-gold color that screams "drink me!" Big citrus aroma with lots of sweetness and some pine. Flavor has a boatload of citrus and some pine hops backed up by just enough sweet malt. Really nice IPA that could easily fit into their regular rotation.
