Served on cask at Al’s of Hampden into a nonic pint. Nugget Nectar fermented with westmalle yeast. Reviewed from notes.
A - Pours amber orange with a strong one finger tall off-white head, dissipating down to a thin film, leaving thin webs of lacing down the glass.
S - Not as crisp as fresh nugget nectar, more of a dulled out version. Hints of citric hops, sweet bready yeast, bright citric fruits, and some light spice. Would be better described as a Belgian IPA.
T - Taste is very similar to the nose. Some grassy citric hops, chewy yeast, ripe citric fruits, and some light peppery spice. Finish is chewy with some lingering hop bitterness. I still prefer the normal version of nugget nectar but this one was an interesting twist on the original. Glad I got to try this one.
M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Plenty of breadiness in the feel. Finish is chewy with some lingering hop bitterness.
D - Pretty high. I really enjoy nugget nectar and this was an interesting twist on the original. I don’t really enjoy the chewy feel but it really worked well here. I drank a few of these no problem. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2011
Draught at TDR: Aroma of hops, caramel, Westmalle yeast, and fruit. Poured copper/amber in color with a small, off-white/tan head that disappeared but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as along edges. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, light dark ripe fruit, light caramel, slight resin, malt, and Westmalle yeast. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hop, resin, Westmalle yeast finish. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2011
Draft at DRE. Copper pour with that great hop nose, some caramel malt, and some spicy yeasty notes. Tastes like a slightly funky NN with more of a Belgian flair and a bit overall of a less fresh flavor. j12601 (13027) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 26, 2010
On tap in the Tröegs tap room. Pours a clear amber with a medium to large white head. Caramel and a bit of old orange, light Belgian yeast, hoppy clean pine. Soft yeast, light and smooth. Caramel and a bit of soft musk. Light pine on a clean crisp finish. This was awesome. TreborWhip (393) - Reading, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2010

Draft at the brewery. Has a nice floral/spice aroma. Large fluffy white head. Taste is initially like their hopback with a nice spicy yeast mixed in. Nice aftertaste of bitter/pine hops. Also a very smooth body, very nice. Drake (14059) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 13, 2010
Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a clear amber color with a medium creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Fruity, floral aroma with banana, clove, yeast and stone fruits. The taste is bitter, floral hops with fruity notes including banana and tropical fruits. Quite bitter. Medium bodied. Very nice.
