Draft and growlered at DRE. I am a close friend of DRE owner Howard, and he informed me that this iteration was a Rye IPA. The pour was dark brown with off-tan head. The nose was rye bready malt and hops. The flavor was bready pumpernickly rye malty, with earthy notes, mild brown sugar, solid hops, and finsihing old aley notes. On tap at Drafting Room, Exton. Nice citrus-honey sweet hop aroma with mild pale malt. Hop-heavy nose. Medium amber-brown hazy with thin white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. Starts medium dry with carbonic bite and lots of buckwheat honey. Spicy floral hop taste. Finish with lots of spicy herbal bitter hops and mild honey. Good rye character with spicy rye after. Bitter pleasant after.
