This one was a little strange for me. I think it may be a bit too sweet. Not for me.

Pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma is burnt sugar and roasted malt. Taste is sweet with notes of cheap rum, burnt sugar, roasted malt, caramel and pineapple. Body is medium with lots of carbonation. The burnt sugar and hot alcohol are very prominent, but balanced by the sweetness. It works, but its not great. It reminds me of Cuban cocktails.

250ml bottle. Dark brown pour with a yellowish-toffee head. Creamy coffee aroma with a touch of roast beef. Watery whiskey flavour, along with acrid roast malts.

Deep black colour, creamy beige thin head. Dark fruit aroma. You can definitely taste the alcohol strength in it along with blackcurrants, prunes and a general fruity sweetness. Its a great stout and well worth seeking out.

Nice looking black body with a thick light brown foam. Aroma is a mix of sugar, wood, and soy. Flavor is lightly fruity with only hints of chocolate and treacle. Not much to the finish.

Out of the bottle poured a opaque black with a thin off-white head. I got notes of chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, molasses and cherry. Smelled more sweet than I was expecting. This was confirmed on the palate with notes of sweet roasted malt, chocolate icecream/fudgsicle, and some booze-soaked raisins. Finish was sweet. Body was more thin than I was expecting for the alcohol, perhaps indicative of adjuncts (I see corn syrup listed in the description). Personally, I thought it was ok overall. Wouldnt drink too many of them, but would make for a nice dessert pairing.
