On tap at Dragonmead. Pours a nice dark brown with large foamy head. Aroma is not strong, but is evident with chocolate and fresh nuts. Taste is exactly what it aimed for, mild.
Draft - Grainy dark malts and some toffee. Deep clear caramel with a good beige head. Grainy, toasted malts and caramel. More like a weak bitter, still decent. Kip_ (1) - - JUN 24, 2014 does not count
Earthy and rich with traditional brown ale notes, but light enough to drink and enjoy in the summer. alliance100 (1137) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Draft at Hopcat GR - pours amber with thin head . Lots of caramel an toffee notes . Not bad for a mild .

An aroma of tobacco and pear. Clear dark brown with a nice white head and minor lace. Tastes mildly sweet like the smell of a good cigar, mild roast malt, and a nearly undetectable grapefruit bitterness on the end to balance the vanilla-ish tobacco sweetness from the start. Palate is nice and creamy; this is only served on nitro. Overall, this is one of my favorite beers from Dragonmead, and the world for that matter; I think it is very under rated and unique beer if you enjoy a mild ale. firstsip (733) - Michigan, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Dark and low alcohol. Palate is incredibly thin. A bit too much sweet maltiness for my tastes.

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a semi-transparent dark copper with thin off-white head. Smells malty and chocolatey with a touch of hops. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Not my favorite style, but a solid example of it. Ratman197 (14668) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 13, 2012
Bottle poured a clear dark reddish amber with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromnas of toffee, earthiness, fruittiness and light tobacco. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of toffee, light fruttiness and a hint of tobacco with a smooth finish. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - DEC 29, 2011
Cask at Graydon’s Crossing, Grand Rapids. Murky red-orange-brown body, thin creamy head. Nose primarily of bready yeast with hints of raisin. Body soft, creamy with toast, grapes, and hints of raisin. Thin woody finish. Unusual; complex but scattered. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Poured up via nitro tap at the Dragonmead brewpub with clear amber body and firm tan head. The aroma has notes of sweet malts, spiciness and earthiness that don’t really come together too well. The taste is smooth and mild with a mix of sweet malts and roasted malts and finishing with a sense of citrus hops and faint earthiness. For being so mild in flavor this Mild is pretty tasty. Tap at Dragonmead. Nitro head on a dark amber pour. The nose is light and a little bit earthy. Soft and slightly fruity. The palate is quite dead (I blame the nitro) but the beer seems to be reasonably well-made. Bland and a little bit earthy. It’s okay, but it could be a lot better.
