An aroma of cinnamon, pear, honey, floral papaya, and some cantaloupe. A clear gold, thin white head and nearly no lace. A flavor of sweet belgian banana yeast and malt. Overall, decent. firstsip (733) - Michigan, USA - OCT 12, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2014 Love this beer. Belgian yeast, banana notes, all balanced well with subtle hops. Nuances change in each batch. Look for cinnamon, papaya, banana, floral hops, etc. MereLikesBeer (195) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - JUL 11, 2009
I had this on tap at the brewery. It poured a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma was quite bready, a bit spicy, and mild fruits. It was sort of sweet and was yeasty. It had a great mouthfeel, not thick, but still sort of heavy. I like it overall, but would want to try something a bit stronger perhaps. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 10, 2009

Growler filled 3 days prior. Poured a medium to deeper golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of spices, ligthly fruity, citrus and yeast. Tastes of citrus, lemons, spices, lightly fruity, and yeast. With the low Alcohol content (the full body and mouthful didn’t give this away!), this would make a decent session beer. Pours a translucent golden with a very small bubbly white head. Aroma of honey, mixed citrus, tea, malty sweet grains and some yeast. Flavor of honey, malty sweet grains, some Belgian yeast and light spicing. detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2007
Pours a hazy golden color, with a thin cap of white foam. Scant lacing. Yeasty fruity spicy aroma is nice indeed.
To me this beer is somewhere between a hefe and a Belgian, but leaning more heavily towards the Belgian. Soft bready wheat and banana flavors up front, finishes a bit dry with coriander and a delicate floral hops.
Body on the light side, very softly carbonated. Sammy (12596) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 28, 2006
On tap at the brewery. Gold colour, good yeast aroma and taste. Appropriate carbonation. Saaz hop understated. Most drinkable, good medium mouthfeel, malted down with the corriander and orange peel. Sweet drfabulous (8465) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 1, 2006
I rate beers here in spurts. When I have the desire. When I’m not too bored by the other ratings and their super want to be like wine tasters ratings.
So here’s the deal: A nice Belgian style from Detroit-Metro’s best.
