COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another fine example of the English style. This Bitter is more robust than the best bitter but still with an excellent balance between hops and malt. Pale Ale Malt along with Aromatic and Crystal malts combine with the Galena and Fuggles hops to create a sure-fire favorite.

Bottle from Belo Vino. Poured a clear deep amber with an average rocky off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium sweet malt and hoppy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with an average bitter finish of medium duration.

A dark copper amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a smooth herbal malt with grassy hops, light veggie notes. In mouth, a sweet herbal caramel malt with light grassy hops, not bad. Bottle at Mondial 2012, June 10 2012.

On cask at the brewpub. Rather light mouthfeel and hop flavour. unfiltered, light brown and lacy. OK drinkability.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy deep amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has lots of straw and a bit of hay plus a touch of bread. Flavor has light bread and straw with some hay backing.

Holy shit an ESB that I actually like! Brown pour. Tons of malt and light hops. Flavor is malty and sweet with some bready/cracker notes and a bit of hop bitterness. easy and smooth.

hopscotch (11313) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 15, 2009
Bottle… Clear golden ale with minimal head. The aroma is pleasantly grainy, but otherwise nondescript. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Leans a touch toward the bitter side of balance with medium-roast grains and a nice, flavorful hop profile. Finishes fairly crisp and moderately bitter. Thanks to daknole for sharing!

arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - SEP 19, 2015
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, very hazy dark red pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of tart berry, cherry, caramel, toffee, some nuts, hints of earth, spice, yeast. Taste was tart cherry, berry, some earth, spice, slight grass, bread, toast, plum, finishing fairly sweet, slightly tart.

JoeMcPhee (9586) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2010
Tap at Dragonmead. Deep amber pour. No real aroma at all. Soft and a little bit fruity. Lightly sweet malt with a touch of caramel and toffee but the hoppiness is quite light and subdued. Lightly plummy but it’s quite watery. Not a whole lot of character in here really. Hops are barely perceptible and there’s just a touch of dark malt sweetness.
