This is a true West Coast IPA–it is pale in color, with with bracing bitterness, high alcohol content (about 7.3% abv) and a fruity/floral/citrus hop aroma. It is made from a simple malt bill: North American base and pale caramel malt. We use copious amounts of Northwest hops all throughout the boil, with most of it going in within the last 15 minutes. After fermentation is complete, we dry hop it with approximately 1 boatload of each of the same hop varieties. 16.5°

Medium-dark gold color. Flavor is herbaceous, a bit of citrus, low malt sweetness - definitely very West Coast. Could use better malt balance. I'm not a fan of the malt and hops used, so I'm biased, so keep that in mind. This is decent, but not worthy of a mid-90s score. Mid-80s is my thought. It's definitely a good IPA, as long as you're a fan of the style.

For my taste buds, Dragoon IPA is some seriously crushable hoppiness. It has a yellow-gold color and a pretty layer of white aromatic foam. Floral and pithy citrus hop aromatics. Juicy, lemony, herbaceous, and piney flavors. There's a lot of bitterness in here. It's bright and chewy. If given the chance, this is something that I would keep on hand.
