An American Pale Ale. For batch number 1500, Josh & Brian decided to brew a big hoppy beer, yet make it quaffable by keeping the alcohol level down. Turns out everyone liked it so much, that it is now brewed year-round. Loads of Simcoe and Amarillo hops are blended in the fermenter, just after fermentation has finished, to impart a huge aroma of pine and citrus.

Bottle in Seattle. Lacing white head. Copper hued orange body, light cloudiness. Dank nose, grass and pine. Nice resiny bitter sip. Green papaya and dried orange peel. Nice contrasts and balance. Good dank notes as well. Tasty. Nice pale ale.

Thanks Carl! A bottle a bit past prime, but still a nice smooth pale that had traces of the big citrusy hops. A bit of grainy body. Good stuff.

Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Peach, pine, citrus in the nose. Light-bodied. Pale malty, a bit fruity, grapefruity and pine hops. Some fruity sweetness in the aftertaste. Easy-going well-brewed APA.

Bottled and opened after 11 days. Aroma slight fruity, estery, bubblegum. Appearance clear and very pale orange, many dry hop floaties add minor haze. Tastes sweet light/medium, bitter medium/heavy, sour light. Very crisp, light body. Soft carbonation with pretty fluffy white head dissipating quickly, not much lacing. Creamy finish with slight astringency. Overall a pretty light bodied ale quaffable but a tad on the bitter side to be deemed sessionable.

Dark gold with a frothy white head. Lemon peel and pine are the aroma stand outs. Malt takes a backseat to resiny hop flavors. Balanced and not overly bitter for it’s medium bodied palate. Nicely done and quite enjoyable.
