Clear gold color with a small head. Aroma is grapefruit and grass. Flavor is moderately bitter, but crisp. Slightly astringent. I want this to come in six packs. ADfan (870) - Orange County, California, USA - JUN 18, 2012
Pours a light yellow color with a small head. Aroma has oranges and a grassiness to it. Flavor has bitterness up front but it’s a light drinking beer. Carbonation is very noticeable with other floral notes. Surprised that it was only 3.8%. marcus (10474) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 17, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours clear golden with a thick off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a light pale malt flavor with a perfect hop bitterness. Very refreshing. lightandrhythm (63) - - JUN 13, 2012
Pours with gorgeous light gold color and a swiftly fading white head. Very floral aroma. Strong bitter resin taste that's fades quickly to a light hop aftertaste

Thanks to Chris and Merideth of the beergeek.com. Poured crysal clear and golden-amber with an airy white head. The aroma is ... well .. WOW! Rich with hoppy resin. Wicked and woodsy, this is a textbook example of west coast vs east coast .... this one rife with some big-time acids, striving in the west coast way for over-the-top citrus. The east coast guys seem to go more for bigger beers without the bite. Interesting, delicious. (#4613, 6/9/2012)

On tap at Beer Revolution. Pours a clear light amber with a small white head settles to a ring and leaves some light lacing on the glass. The aroma is pine and grapefruit hops, a bit of biscuit, and a light mineral note. The taste is quite similar to the nose with pine, grapefruit, some orange, some biscuit, and also a light mineral note. The finish has a decent bitterness with more pine and grapefruit. Quite dry throughout. Light body. Medium carbonation. This was quite enjoyable. It was quite hoppy and dry, which I tend to enjoy. The price kind of defeats the purpose of the low alcohol content though because I won’t be drinking several of them.

[Draft @ Rockin Brews] Dark golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, citrus, and toast. Taste of pine, citrus, tropical fruits, toasted malts, with a light grapefruit finish. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - JUN 3, 2012
650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a gorgeous translucent brass color with a small white head that quickly fizzes away. The aroma is quite strong and distinct with good citrus, mostly oranges or tangerines and a bit of salt. The flavor does not quite live up to the nose; the citrus comes across as a bit muddled, besides oranges i also get some apricot and persimmon. The malt base is light and effective with slightly sweet biscuit. The palate is similarly light but appropriate for the style and the carbonation is lively. Finishes short and dry. Overall: A very nice little session ale. hopsandvines (61) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Thanks to Sean from bay area beers on trade...Pours hazy gold. Aromas of grass, pine, citrus rind and barn hey, malt character is low but has some interesting fruity fermentation characteristics . Medium bodied with more mouth-feel than the 3.8% alcohol would suggest. Flavors of grassy hops all the way though the palate. Some residual bitterness lingers. Finish is medium bitter that sicks on your tongue for a while. A good Session IPA, much like the Founders All Day IPA, but with more body and finesse despite the even lower alcohol content. Great session beer IPA. A-

Drake’s Alpha Session. Tap at The Raglan in OB. Clear light yellow gold with a one finger white, down to a thick ring and island after a minute. Big floral nose with lots a tropical fruit hops, pine behind. Flavor follows suit, less tropicals. Lots of bitterness added, light cracker malt at some point. Dry finish, bitterness at a 6-7. Thin body with moderate carbonation. Quite tasty, though maybe I like Founders All Day IPA more. It was less bitter (but 1% more) with more balance (but 1% more), which one would expect.
