Didn’t move me. I detected a slight metallic taste at the end. It isn’t a pretty beer. Very hazy orange amber. Oh well. Aquilo (658) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAY 27, 2008
Color is a kinda sickly, hazy red-brown. Head is off-white, and small. Smell is honey and roses. It’s a nice smell, but it doesn’t do anything for me. I can smell a bit of hops as the beer warms. Flavor is mainly weak, stale hops. Not much else going on there. Mouthfeel is astringent and overly carbonated. This doesn’t float my boat. Taverner (1103) - San Ramon, California, USA - APR 27, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2009 It’s a good Amber. Most ambers are boring to me - but this one had a little character. The aroma was good, with a nice floral hop note. Ended on a dry and bitter note - very nice. Quaffable - this one could be quaffed in large quantities. ON SECOND ANALYSIS: I can taste the chocolate, very much like a hershey bar faded, I can taste the bitterness from the hops, and the roastiness from the malt making this. It’s a really good Amber. I’m not a big Amber fan, but this one was quite nice. Malt and sweetness fill the nose and mouth. Not too complex, but a very nice refreshing amber. Cryotek (206) - Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA - FEB 14, 2008
Smells fruiy-flowery, hoppy, sweet, like a light IPA. Deep golden amber color. Tastes very bitter, with a sweet malty caramel flavor. Roasty hoppy taste, emphasis on the hoppy. Dry bitter finish. Not my cup of beer.

Cloudy amber color with off white head. Hoppy aroma with light malt. Flavors were of light caramel and hops. Nice bitter finish. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - JAN 10, 2008
12 Oz Bottle-Trade w/Snojerk321-ironic we ended up entering these ratings back to back. Clear amber color w/a slight head & good lacing. Had some floral hops on the front end, body had flavors of caramel, molasis, & toffee. Felt it was a little hop heavy; only thing which kept me from scoring this beer much higher. Long hop finish. Good solid brew, just a step away f/greatness! Thanks for this one! Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 31, 2007
12oz bottle from Bevmo Carmel mountain. A great amber! Deep amber in color, clear body. Aroma’s of roasted toffee, milk chocolate and some molasses. On the pallet it was very creamy with some hop notes. Finish was slightly sweet. fordest (2469) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - DEC 18, 2007
12 oz bottle. Lots of roasy caramel aromas. Flavors were toasty grains with decent hopping on the finish. Pretty good beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - NOV 19, 2007
12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dirty_martini. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a moderate off-white head that was gone before mid-glass. Very nice aroma of buttery caramel. The aroma intensified as the beer warmed. The caramel was present in the flavor, but not nearly as much. The dominant flavor was a sharp resinous pine which left a lingering bitter taste well after the swallow. A bit over the top with the hops for my tastes.
