A- Pours a very cloudy and hazy dark orange and amber hue, the head is a nice layer of white pillowy froth, big thick lacing on the glass
S- Aroma is roasted and caramel malts, pine hops punch through the malts, some sweet fruits and nuts, nice earthy almost dirt-like scents, some pepper and alcohol
T- Initial taste is mostly caramel and earthy malts which flows to floral and fruit hops and finishes with dry, spicy bitterness that fades quickly
M- Medium-bodied with a thick watery texture and dialed-up, biting carbonation
D- Pretty smooth and easy drinking at 6%abv, I don’t have much to say about this beer, nothing horrible but nothing great, overall a solid amber offering. MattH (908) - California, USA - OCT 23, 2011
Bottle. Dark amber pour with a big white head. Aroma of dark toasty malts and a little green apple. Taste is dark malts, a lot of bitterness, and some nuttiness. Body is light to medium and carbonation is medium to heavy. lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 23, 2012

Pours an amber colour with a white head. Aroma of toasted malts, dry grassy notes and some earth. Flavour is rather rich with toasted malts, strong grassy hops, earth and subtle caramel sweetness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a bitter, slightly sweet finish. Enjoyable.
Poured from draft to a pint. Way darker that a typical amber. Creamy brown head that sticks around for a while. Tons of caramel malt on the nose. A solid amber, but I wish it were a tad less sweet. It’s a solid amber, if a touch too sweet for my preferences. Bule (2240) - California, USA - SEP 12, 2013
On tap at the Hilltop. Pours an amber brown color without much head. Lots of hops and maltiness.

Pretty IPAish. Gold color, with a froth head. Aroma is like a dandilion, moderately malty sweet, more bitter than malty. Average body for the style, dry finish. Average beer. Odeed (1805) - Bakersfield, California, USA - APR 9, 2006

Thanks to awaisanen for this!
Drake’s pours into the glass with a beautiful creamy off-white head over a reddish amber body.
Caramel malt in the aroma is joined by some light hops.
Well balanced and clean. Perhaps an unexciting style, but this brew is solidly done just the same. MI2CA (1340) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - JUL 24, 2006
12oz - thanks Irishboy - Aroma is sticky carmel and toffee with a bit of hops. Pours transparent amber with a huge fluffy head and good lacing. Flavor is roasty malts and hops backed by the sticky carmel and toffee from the aroma. Palate is sticky and tart. Almost a scottish ale in my opinion. Very tasty. drfabulous (8485) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - SEP 16, 2006
Interesting amber. True to its description, it has a slight chocolate taste. Very different from other ambers I’ve had.
