Poured from a 22oz bottle dated 07/25/2014; bottle dates are such a great thing on IPAs.
Aroma is a hop bomb with lots of citrus notes, especially grapefruit, orange and tangerine but also hints of lime. Moderate pine resin notes with medium light notes of stone fruit and tropical fruit. Light cracker malt note with a hint of caramel.
Pours a slightly hazy, golden color with a big, thick, fluffy white head that shows great retention. Moderately high lacing with small legs.
Flavor is slightly sweet with a nice grainy, cracker note but also some light rye spice and hints of caramel. Moderate hop notes similar to the aroma but with more stone fruit and a bit less pine resin. Medium strong bitterness. A hint of alcohol in the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation and a slight stickiness, though the hops help dry out the finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall a very nice, fresh IPA from Drake’s. I personally wouldn’t mind if it were drier with a bit thinner body, but I may be in the minority there. Lots of nice hop flavors though I suppose I would prefer a bit less pine in the aroma. Ataraxia (587) - California, USA - AUG 13, 2014
Clear golden color with a moderate, frothy white head. Subdued aroma of citrus, pine, caramel malt, and subtle floral notes. A bit too malty for an IPA, very light sweetness, followed by resin bitterness. The right amount of carb, heavier in body than expected, and ends with a long bitter finish. yiannnos (1254) - , CYPRUS - AUG 11, 2014

Bottle courtesy of Braudog. Thanks Matt! Amber pour with a medium, frothy white head. Aroma is very floral and citrusy with hops resins, light caramel and malt notes. Taste is big citrus, floral hops, pine notes, hop resins, caramel notes, toasted malt and tropical fruit. Body is medium with a strong, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more floral hops, pine, big citrus, tropical fruit notes, toasted malt and light caramel. SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 8, 2014

Great grapefruit aroma and a slight sweetness. This beer is light yellow and has a strong citrus hops flavor. toxichop (598) - South Gate, California, USA - JUL 21, 2014
P: A clear bright copper with a one finger head that dissapears. S: Despite the name the aroma isnt very strong but you still get some dank, lemons, grass and pine. T: Very herbal and spicy hops, some pine, grapefruit, some fruit punch in there and finally some cracker/bready malt. M: Medium body, with just a bit of bitterness. O: Easy to drink but doesnt stand out as a ipa. Homer321 (5250) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JUL 17, 2014
Draft at City beer. Nose is a strong pine with a touch of cattiness. Pour is fairly clear with a small white head. Taste is grassy with some fruit. Taste is a let down after the nose. Ok though.
