Pours orange and has a slight grapefruit smell. It has a bitter upfront flavor that carries a little. Would pair well with spicy or strong flavors. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2012
22 oz bottle. Neon orange brown with a coating ivory head. Nose is orange, caramel, a touch of pine and cane sugar. Chewy, spicy, with a soft tingle. Taste is butterscotch, pine, hints of soy and grapefruit. Seemingly simple but packs in a lot of flavor. Hot screwdriver finish. Good. greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - APR 7, 2012
22 oz bottle. Pours orange with a thick full head. Citrus nose. Flavor is pine and grapefruit, but not over the top. Nice sweet balance. I like my iipa to be so hoppy it makes your butt cheeks pucker and this beer doesn’t do that. The finish does have a bite, but again, I like mine with a big kick. The ABV is very well hidden. Overall, this is a very decent DIPA and easy to drink but lost a few points in the hop department. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAR 26, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2013 65cl, American brew, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex bitter brew, bitter/sweet and slightly alcoholic/fruity, heavy, yet balanced, cloudy, rocky head, good brew, yet expensive! bconch (408) - - MAR 23, 2012
Orange pour with thin white head. Typical smell of citrus and pine with some nice sweetness as well. Nice and bitter upfront with a solid malt backbone that smoothes the hop bomb nicely. Agree with others that the alcohol is hidden well. Very nice dipa.

A punchy upfront IPA. Little dirty on the back palate which I liked as it added to the appeal. First word that popped in my mind was, "wow". Rich colour, but also a little sweet and syrupy. I know you cant drink the packaging, but loved the presentation to boot! dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 17, 2012
22oz bottle from Provisions. Pours a dark golden color with creamy off-white head. Nice carbonation. Aroma is dank hops, citrus, some cardboard. Taste is sweet with lots of citrus and tropical notes. Bitter. Medium bodied. Smooth and well balanced. A really nice DIPA. xatu (22) - vitoria-gasteiz, SPAIN - MAR 17, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 22, 2012 Medium amber colour with low head. Lots of hops in the aroma, piney, and rape fruits, especially peach and grapefruit. Taste is fruity with caramel notes from the malt. Medium to high bitternes in the end. Scopey (14511) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2012
Bottle from Whole Foods Sonoma. It pours clear orange-amber, with a thick white head. The nose is soft orange citrus fruit - orange, tangerine, mango and dough. The taste is resin, orange citrus, pine, spice, dough, sherbet, grass and well hidden alcohol, with a long bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Very well balanced and highly drinkable. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 10, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2012 Poured a hazy, deep amber, with a huge off-white head. Smells of pine, resin, grass, and caramel. Taste starts off bitter, gets sweeter through the middle, and ends slightly bitter/malty. This is a huge hop bomb and the alcohol is hidden very well. Although, I am starting to pick up a lot more of an alcohol-bite as my beer begins to warm-up. All in all, very well-balanced, great IIPA.
