COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Silver Medal winner for Imperial India Pale Ale, Great American Beer Festival 2009. Besides Jolly Roger, this is probably Drakes most renowned beer. An Imperial (or Double) IPA, Denogginizer is a big bold beer hopped with an abundant amount of Simcoe and Amarillo with a touch of Ahtanum and Chinook. Mashed with Crystal malt and Caramalt for color and flavor to help balance out the hop assault. Denogginizer is also Drakes most powerful regular offering, at a whopping 10% alcohol by volume!

22oz bottle from Provisions. Pours a dark golden color with creamy off-white head. Nice carbonation. Aroma is dank hops, citrus, some cardboard. Taste is sweet with lots of citrus and tropical notes. Bitter. Medium bodied. Smooth and well balanced. A really nice DIPA.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2012 Medium amber colour with low head. Lots of hops in the aroma, piney, and rape fruits, especially peach and grapefruit. Taste is fruity with caramel notes from the malt. Medium to high bitternes in the end.

Bottle from Whole Foods Sonoma. It pours clear orange-amber, with a thick white head. The nose is soft orange citrus fruit - orange, tangerine, mango and dough. The taste is resin, orange citrus, pine, spice, dough, sherbet, grass and well hidden alcohol, with a long bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Very well balanced and highly drinkable.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2012 Poured a hazy, deep amber, with a huge off-white head. Smells of pine, resin, grass, and caramel. Taste starts off bitter, gets sweeter through the middle, and ends slightly bitter/malty. This is a huge hop bomb and the alcohol is hidden very well. Although, I am starting to pick up a lot more of an alcohol-bite as my beer begins to warm-up. All in all, very well-balanced, great IIPA.

Wow. On tap at Hamiltons in San Diego. Wow. Did I say that already? A creamsickle in a glass. Wonderfully over the top hoppy piney nose, but creamy mouthfeel. Reminds me of Hopsickle. When I drank this, no one told me that it was 10%. The alcohol isnt nearly as evident in this fine composition. One of these and I was quite happy. I had this AFTER Pliny the Elder and it was still an amazing double IPA.

Amazing. I will keep this short. It has to be experienced. Just phenominal. Get some. Everything is right on, dont think I would change a thing. Yum!

Nice amber pour. Decent white head with good lacing. Great aroma with piney notes, but mostly lovely citrus. Flavor starts with a nice malt backbone with citrus hops and a resiny note. Get a bit of a booze heat as well. Good beer.

Love this beer... Had it a few times, but most recently last weekend at the River Rock Tap House in Sacramento... Very herbal and spicy hop character, nice lingering bitterness. Delicious

Dark orange, hazy and medium off white head. Pine, tropical fruit, dry twigs. Good malty base, although some dead hops maybe there (after the trip to the NL). Smooth, low carbonation, but mostly of course a fierce bitterness. I like it! (66cl bottle)

22oz bottle from NorCalGrowler , pour is an awesome fading amber with lots of white head, taste is a mix or hops and malty balance on the end.. While not a hop only bomb this is a balanced IIPA and enjoyable but at 10% it packs a wallop
