Poured from a 12 ounce bottle, the appearance is pristine gold with a shiny copper hue. The head of foam is a soft heavanly cloud of pillowy white bubbles. The aroma opens up deliciously dank with fresh, slightly sweet citrus hops cutting through sweet cereal and grain highlighted with some tropical fruitiness resembling papaya and pineapple. On the taste, I get caramel malt in conjunction with sweet cereal. A light pineapple character develops from the grain. A smooth piney dry finish balances the sweetness out. The alcohol is hidden well. An easily top 5 favorite all time IPA. BlackEyePA (573) - USA - FEB 19, 2012
Amazing. I will keep this short. It has to be experienced. Just phenominal. Get some. Everything is right on, dont think I would change a thing. Yum! Opivy44 (14) - Novato, California, USA - AUG 27, 2010
Winner, Winner!!! What a GREAT BEER!!!! BEST BEER I’VE TASTED... It got a 4.8 rather than a 5.0 because maybe there’s a BETTER BEER OUT THERE??? Wow! What a Beer!
Aroma: HOPPY & Malty... Very Balanced!
Appearance: Reddish Brown, Clear- Nice head for an IPA!
Taste: Medium Bitter up front... then goes to a VERY Balanced Hopped Maltiness!

Pours a amber dark copper, great lacing. Aroma is piney hops and citrucy notes Sweet Carmel malt.Taste is very hoppy with a Sweet Carmel malt backbone very piney resiney hops with some slight orange peel and grapefruit character. Medium to heavy mouth feel. Leaves a hoppy resiney character on the tongue. Very great beer! OliverJ1990 (11) - - JUL 15, 2015
Nose: hops, malt, and nuts. Hints of apple
Taste: bitter! hoppy as hell- IBUs out the ying-yang on this one! The hops (Simcoe, Columbus, Amarillo & Cascade) come through very strong, but the great malts (Munich & Crystal) balance the beer perfectly.
If you buy this beer, you won’t regret it! Best enjoyed in a tulip glass with a bowl of kettlecorn/toffee covered peanuts

An intense aroma of bitter hops and grapefruit. This is a tasty IPA, definitely not a subtle one. Tons of bitter hops from the start, but the finish is truly interesting, as the bitterness and the citrus battle back and forth. Pretty good stuff. leomannion (4) - California, USA - JAN 22, 2012 does not count
This a great beer to drink when you want to get a good buzz without drinking a lot. Love the taste! davidm (2081) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 19, 2014
great beer. Floral and grassy aromas, quite bitter with a very long finish. This one is not about balance. ccostoya (22) - Santiago, CHILE - OCT 30, 2015

6th annual Bistro IIPA fest. This brew won best of show in ’05 and ’04. Failed to place this year. I see why it did so well in year’s past and am shocked it isn’t more highly rated than it is. Wonderfully bitter aroma. Amber body; yellowish, off-white head. Excellent lace. Really good. Good balance. I can’t come up with a way that this could be any better. Outstanding.
