22 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with no lasting head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, liqourice and dark chocolate. Almost burned. Bold, dark, bitter, hardroasted, liqourice and deep dark chocolate. Rather dry, bitter and hard roasted into a dry and dense malt finish. A bit too much for my liking.Ungstrup (37216) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2011

Opaque very dark brown stout. Rich dark malt with a pretty bitter finish. Not that smokey or roasty though. A little alcohol warmth in the finish. This Impy stout really is lacking in several areas. By no means terrible but quite dissapointing. 2.8.
1st January 2012
Palate is slightly soft and with some body. Rich dark malt, a little cream. Unsweet dark chocolate and a trace of coffee. The coffee becomes more prominent as the beer warms up. Trace of aniseed. Finishes semi dry.
