Dark in color, clear with very little head. Super sour fruity ale. Nice beer with a good finish. This was a good sour beer GABF 2012 brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 10, 2010
A: A somewhat muddled amber/reddish color without too much head on it.
S: A somewhat mild nose, which consists mostly of oak and a hint of fruit, but it is very hard to pick out what exactly it is.
T: This is a very tannic beer. Slightly sour, but primarily tannic oak, earth, and fruit skin and seed flavors. A bit of a very dry red wine note with just a hint of tart vinegar.
M: The mouthfeel is actually one of the better things about this beer. Decent body with a pretty aggressive dryness to it.
D: Not one of the good Drake’s sours, though I suppose only Tropic Thunder is good. Pretty bland and boring, truth be told. KimJohansen (10511) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2010
Hazy mahogany with a tiny to medium off white head. Sour aroma with lacto, roasted malt, caramel, wood and brett. Flavour was sour with roasted malt, caramel, lacto, brett, sour berries and wood. Finished sour and dry. Not bad. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - JUL 20, 2010
On tap at Stone Sourfest 2010BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 19, 2010
Appearance: Pours a dark auburn with a thin beige ring.
Aroma: Strawberry, raspberry, boisonberry and brown sugar.
Taste: Industrial, metallic, rubber bretty goodness and of course, berries.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, medium carbonation.
Overall:Not bad, better than Bootlegger’s Strawberry Funkasaurus, but not that sour.
On tap at Sourfest. Pours with a brown body and a small white head. Aroma is really fruity, berry, funky and sour. Taste is not very good at all. Dirty toilet water, fruity and off. Light bubbles. One of the worst beers that I tried that day.

Tap @ Stone Sour Fest 2010. Pours a lightly hazed amber with a small off white head. Very light hints of berry, dry oak tannins and very faint vinous notes. Nose and flavor were both nice and tart, pretty stoked with this one overall. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 18, 2010
Tasted side by side with the Kuatu, comparatively much lighter, but still a murky brown in color. Nose was mild and moderately acidic with hints of tannins. Taste was... ...wait, where the hell are the frankenberries? If there was such a thing as a frankenberry, there wasnt any in this beer, no real signs of berry or fruit, hints of red wine, hints of vinegar, medium sourness, somewhat tasty, but not a beer that can hold up to its name. I really hope they dont make a count chocula sour, because they sure as hell couldn’t pull that off.
