COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An unfiltered IPA brewed with both wheat and rye. The subtle complexity of the different grains pairs with a trans-continental hop blend, featuring dank citric cut from domestic Amarillos, melon-like aromatics from both domestic Idaho 7 and German Huell Melon, and white grape skins from the German Hallertauer Blanc. The Chinook and Jarrylo in the whirlpool add floral pine notes with a bit of spice.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is citrus, and there’s a hint of dankness in the depths. And some non-tropical fruit. Med body or so. Flavor is citrus, earth, white berry and something that "tickles". Another mystery. Pepper? Doesn’t seem so. Anyway it’s fairly mild, but tastes ok. Seems to have the level of bitterness I can associate with dank, but that term doesn’t seem to apply. Ah well.

Looks great...clousy bright yellow orange. Smell is fairly hoppy...melon and citrus. Feel and flavor are just a little behind the nose and look. OK, but expect awesome from Drake’s hoppy brews.

20 oz nonic pint at Drake’s Dealership in Oakland, California. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a well formed one inch off white head. The aroma is wheat grain malt, citrus hops, and full rounded melon fruit. The taste has a lot of fresh fruit flavor - the melon, citrus orange, even berries as others have mentioned. The fresh hop is balanced nicely with the wheat, and the rye is present in the flavor. Quite a bit going on in this one. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, unfiltered mouthfeel and a round fruity softly bitter finish. Fun beer, tasty.

Sunny golden orange and hazy color with a blanketing head of creamy to soapy white foam. On the aromas there are wheat, dry pine needles, and some subtle grapefruit and orange citrus. On the taste there is a much more vibrant fruit bowl with some traces of berry and the forementioned white grapeskin, but mostley those softer notes can’t shine through enough becasue of the overly aggressive piine that finishes very dry and mouth puckering.
