Pours a bright amber orange with a two finger off white foamy head with very nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus (orange and grapefruit rind) resiny pine, tropical fruits (a lot of mango) some caramel and some toffee. Taste is of citrus rinds, earthy pine, tropical fruits, sweet malts, caramel/toffee, and a little rye. Has a medium full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, pretty bitter, yet still pretty sweet, slightly boozy finish. Overall, a well balanced and pretty tasty DIPA that might be a tad too sweet.

650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a translucent copper color with a small white head that soon fades to a fine film. The aroma is dank and bold with pine, citrus, caramel and rock candy. The taste is a blast of grapefruit, resins, oranges, toffee and caramel. The palate is full and silky smooth with lively carbonation. Finishes long and bittersweet. Overall: A trifle bit too sweet, but still its quite good stuff.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2014 2013 bottle shared with my brother, poured into a tulip. Poured vigorously into the glass to unlock the fresh hops and to give a huge sticky white head. Orange/Amber color that appears to be filtered. Very nice looking beer. Aroma is a blast of pineapple, mango, citrus, orange and pear. Incredible bite upon the first sip - Insanely fruity, but not sweet, with a touch of rye spice to liven the malt up. Luscious mouth feel with medium to high carbonation that coats your tongue with all the hop flavors. Mango and pineapple resins linger in the background with the pine bitterness. Almost a perfect Double IPA and seriously comparable to Pliny. I enjoy the tropical, citrus character over some piney IPAs. However the 2014 bottling was super weak compared to 2013.

22oz bomber from bytemesis, thanks Mike. This one poured a really awesome looking syrupy super clear deep orange body with an average sized tight foam almost creamy white head. Aroma is dope, so much going on, tropical fruits...mangos...apricot...wet older pine needles...older citrus fruits...loads of dankness, so diferent and nice. Medium to fuller syrupy body with lighter carbonation and a good dose of heat at the end to let you know that this is a sipping beer. Flavor of alcohol, loads of grapefruit rind and yellow meat, grains, dry hop cones that finishes with a slight hint of swentess that dries out quickly. Awesome beer.

Amber pour with a white head. Some caramel malt sweetness followed quickly by a lot of grapefruit, pine, and floral hops. Plenty of citrus qualities to this one. The flavor is very nicely balanced with some sweet caramel and a good dose of citrus and pine bitterness. Grapefruit and orange, pine, and floral hop notes.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 Clear copper-orange body, large off-white head, sticky lacing. Nose is grapefruit, resin, a tad herbaceous and grassy. Flavor is similar with a focus on resin and grapefruit. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation, assertively bitter. Tasty.
