From a bottle dated 02/11/2014.Aroma is full of grapefruit, orange, tropical fruit and lesser pine resin hop character. Moderate caramel character with some lighter rye notes. Some fruit esters. A moderate, slightly off putting note in the aroma that I can?t quite nail down, but is like a mix of rotting fruit and vegetables. Light alcohol spice. Pours a slightly cloudy, orange color with a bit of copper. Medium sized, fairly thick, slightly off white head with above average retention and moderate lacing. Medium sized legs. Flavor has a moderate sweetness with some light caramel and some rye character. Moderately strong bitterness with some alcohol spice in the finish. Moderately strong hop flavors. Lots of tropical fruit and citrus notes with some pine resin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright beer, but I remember previous years being better. The hop aroma has a very odd character, but the flavor is better. Too much malt notes as well. Ends up being pretty easy to drink. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - MAR 2, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Jason! Orangey-yellow body with a mild clarity to it, not much head, at least not for a DIPA... Mild, soapy white foam. I wasn’t digging the aroma on this one, which was surprising to me. Hop leaves, green onion, & grass.. But I was pulling this strange, cooked vegetable (leaning towards carrots) notes that were really putting me off. Taste was a bit better... Zesty & oily hops, leaves with a light grassiness & a touch of sweet biscuit malt sugars in the finish. Nice mouth feel, oily & crisp. The aroma really killed this for me, & while the taste wasn’t so bad, it didn’t knock my socks off either. No one else felt this way, so I wonder if something was wrong with my sniffer :o( Perfero (13) - California, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Altogether too malty for my taste. Rock candy is the dominant flavor here.

Bottle: The aroma consists of mango peach, apricot, citrus, and a hint or grapefruit. It pours a dull transparent orange with a small off-white head. The flavor starts with apricot, tropical fruit, and a touch of peach. The finish has moderate citrus, grapefruit, and a hint of pine. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Pours a beautiful golden orange. Aroma is amazing hops, some pine and a nice malt back note. Taste is awesome!!! Really well balanced hop and malt notes. Mouth feel is super smooth. Lots of citrus dances around between hops and malt. Awesome beer!!

Drar halvblint mot en pliny. Ananas och mango. Balanserad beska som dock är ganska tung. Bra kropp. Håller plinyn som något bättre. AdamChandler (5178) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 24, 2014
Amber brown. Super resinous bursting grapefruit and pine cones. Sadly, these tasters make aroma really difficult. Okay. Got a snifter. Huge tangerine, spice and fruitiness. Taste is palate wrecking. 100 IBUS of resinous bitterness. But despite that aspect, it’s incredibly balanced for such a bitter beer. Bonus from a recent trade. Big toffee and butterscotch flavors. Nice citrus orange aromas. Smooth mid palate with a sticky resin finish. Bordering on a barleywine. Bit of orange candy slice in the long lasting finish as well.
