Sampled on 9/10/2011 at Beer Revolution. This Imperial Stout pours an eclipse black color from the tap. Medium to small sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, roasty malt, coffee, port wine and blackberries. A medium bodied Imperial Stout. The malts are chocolate and coffee, blackberry and wood. The hops are earthy and herbal. Nice balance of chocolate, blackberry, wood and port. Mild carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - SEP 17, 2011
On draft at Beer Revolution. It pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is tart stone fruit with lots of red wine and hints of solvent and vinegar, although not too strong. The flavor is acidic with red wine grapes, alcohol and hints of cocoa and roast near the finish. Very warming. Not bad. robertjm (902) - Albany, California, USA - SEP 10, 2011
