65 cl bottle @ RIP Camp.marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Pours clear orange color with a small head. Aroma of resinous hops, grass, caramel malts, toffee notes, wet cardboard and apricot. Flavor of resin, caramel malts, some citric fruits and goose berries. Bitter fruity palate with a bit too strong malty and resinous finish. Not bad though.
Bottle shared by oRos. Pours amber with a short off-white head and a red ale type aroma. There is a bitter smoked malt flavor that turns fruity. Complex and tasty. deanso (10132) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - SEP 13, 2013

Thin creamy white head. Clear amber pour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. Very enjoyable. JorisPPattyn (9982) - Ursel, BELGIUM - SEP 7, 2013
Medium, cream-coloured head over finely carbonated brownish orange beer. Sharpish initial nose of alcohol and ink. Some hints at seewater/food (sepia?). Then more classical sweet-nutty, caramel induced aromas. Even a bit cheesy. Bitter, going over in roasted-sweet, caramelly and even syrupy notes. The hop is present, but cannot control the ubiquitous caramel. There is some balance, but me seems there’s not much going on for a big barley wine. Aftertaste shows some spiciness, and again a hint at cheese. Very slick, onctuous but not really overfully bodied as some - there’s restraint here, which is a good thing. Yeah, it’s worthwile, but it won’t drive me wild.

655 ml. bottle sampled @ Pure Apricot Tasting. Thanks! Hope that this is the version that I had, I remember someone reading the label & saying distinctly that this was a Barley Wine. GUSHER! Darker amber brown, little head. Sweet herbal, candy, caramel nose. Taste is bitter herbal, sweetish malt, candy, caramel, brown sugar, biscuit, herbal hop finish,… Med. thicker malty body. Nice but nothing stellar. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 10, 2013
22oz bottle, shared by DanielCoor. Mostly clear reddish amber color. Good thin khaki head. Solid lace. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Kind of creamy. Nice spicy hop profile. Some chocolate. Light dark fruit. More sweet taste, though not cloying at all. Light bitter. Nice spicy hop, kind of earthy. Great stuff. tderoeck (9669) - Gent, BELGIUM - SEP 18, 2014

Clear red brown beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, raisins, strawberry jam. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: some bitter hops, little sour, sugary, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: sour hint, very fruity, alcohol, dried fruits, raisins, soft bitter touch.
Bottle at Deano’s monthly tasting, September 2013. Poured a clear dark amber with a thin frothy white head. The aroma is malty with some caramel. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big malty liqourice palate. More of a DIPA than a Barley Wine for me. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Draft. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Nice pine and grapefruit aroma. Pine and grapefruit flavor with cocoa. Medium bodied. Pine and grapefruit linger with malt and cocoa.
