Black with a lasting, Brown head.
Aroma is roast and a barrel-like note. Taste the same with quite some hops. This is served blind as an Imperial Stout but as it warms it becomes clear that there is no barrel aging - "just" huge amounts of hops. Some age on this. Hops are still very much there but I quess they must have been "brighter" as a younger drink but still this is tastefull. Very good.
Bottle at tasting. Aroma of malt, chocolate. licorice and passion fruit. Taste has licorice, chocolate, old malt, coffee, passion fruit, candy and a malty finish. Just solid. danlo (3297) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2016
1 pt 6 fl oz bottle, Halloween 2016. Pours black in colour with a foamy beige head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, molasses, roasted, with floral citrus hops. Taste is dark malts, liquorice, some molasses, roast, chocolate & coffee notes, with citrus hop, pine and earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Very drinkable. Batavi (398) - Waalwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2016
