On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of chocolate, roastiness, vinous notes and oak. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a lightly tart finish. Flavors of chocolate, vinous notes, roastiness, oak and light vanilla with a smooth lightly tart lingering chocolate vinous finish.

Sampled at the Bistro 7th Annual Barrel Aged Festival on 11/10/2012. This stout pours a dark brown color from the tap. Small sized off white foamy head. The aroma is pinot, chocolate, coffee and some wood. A medium bodied stout. The malts are chocolate, coffee, roasty and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Lots of Pinot flavors (tart and fruity) with the chocolate and coffee underneath. Hint of wood, wine grape tannins. Fairly sweet with a tart finish. Itís a stout with a definite Pinot character. Nice tasting back to back with the Merlot to Go. Totally different tasting beer yet, strangely somewhat the same. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart.

On tap at The Bistro BA Festival. Pours black with almost no head and a chocolate and alcohol aroma. There is a vinous dark malt flavor with a slightly bitter blackberry finish.
