Had at Denver Rare Beer Tasting V, still had a little bit of heat in this beer, but it was super tasty, great caramel and vanilla.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted on tap at the 8th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/9/2011. This Barleywine pours an extremely cloudy brown color from the firkin. Small to no head. The aroma is caramel, malty and sweet. A medium bodied Barleywine. The malts are fruity and caramel, sweet with a touch of alcohol. The hops are herbal. No to little carbonation. Lots of sediment. Think this one is still a little young. Yet still a nice barley wine. Would like to try this one again in about 6 months. Hint of alcohol at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
