Growler... Pours dark brown (nearly black) with a small, creamy, lightly-tanned head. Decent retention. The nose is a fantastic whirlpool of smoke, chocolate and caramel, accompanied by a light kiss of vanilla. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is smoky and bitter, but also quite thin. Short, watery, burnt, bitter finish. On tap at Drakes poured a clear dark reddish brown nearly black with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of smoke, roastiness, bakers cocoa, dark fruit and light licorice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of smoke, roastiness, bitter chocolate and dark fruit with a smooth lingering smokey finish.
