On tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Fest 2010. Pours dark brown from the pitcher with reddish hues and a small light tan head. The aroma is decently promising with roast, coffee, port, oak, and soured dark fruit notes. The flavor is mildly sweet as well as tart. Roasty porter flavors, along with sweet and sour port and oak barrel. Not as flavorful as I’d like, and a little plasticky even. Medium bodied with average carbonation and mild astringency. On tap at the Bistro BA festival. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head and a boozy coffee aroma. There is a slightly sour treacle flavor with some carbonation and a dry finish.
