Draft. Mahogony beer with a light tan head. Port and malt aroma with light darker males. Port and toffee flavor with light chocolate. Medium-plus bodied. Port and toffee lingers with light chocolate. nickd717 (4648) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 30, 2010
On tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Fest 2010. Pours dark brown from the pitcher with reddish hues and a small light tan head. The aroma is decently promising with roast, coffee, port, oak, and soured dark fruit notes. The flavor is mildly sweet as well as tart. Roasty porter flavors, along with sweet and sour port and oak barrel. Not as flavorful as Iíd like, and a little plasticky even. Medium bodied with average carbonation and mild astringency. Overall above average but not too impressive. AgentSteve (1647) - SF Bay Area, California, USA - NOV 15, 2010
Pours dark reddish brown with a tan head. Dark fruit and lite coffee and chocolate. The flavor is the same, but after the 3rd sip the finish goes plastic and band-aid like. bhensonb (15098) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 14, 2010
