Tasted months ago during SF beer week at Beer Revolution. Going strictly from my notes. It has a light bourbon and wood nose. The flavor is sweet vanilla, caramel, cocoa, coffee and some bourbon. It’s lighter on the plate than you would expect. The finish is only slightly roasted and woody. I liked its sister beer Legitimate Child better. bb (9790) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 22, 2011
Draft. Oak-aged imperial stout - the pre-brett version of Legitimate Child. Blackish beer with a light brown head. Rich malt and light toffee aroma with oak. Oak and malt flavor with light chocolate. Medium-plus bodied. Oak and malt linger with light caramel and light chocolate.
