Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a dark brown color with a one finger head of cream colored foam. The head hades rather fast leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a chocolate and roasted malt smell mixed with some other aromas of caramel and a bit of cinnamon. Along with these aromas comes a bit of coffee.
Taste – The taste begins with a roasted malt flavor mixed with some cinnamon and a bit of chocolate. As the taste moves on more roast and chocolate come to the tongue. In the end some other flavors of a sweeter molasses, coffee and a bit of a cream taste move to the tongue, leaving one with rather rich and flavorful porter taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is average in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average as well. Ok for the flavors, but a little thicker body may have been slightly better.
Overall – A rather nice lightly spiced and chocolaty porter. A good brew for the fall weather.

Nose of medium dark roasted malts, definite earthy chocolate notes, light spice and cinnamon notes on the nose. Pours dark brown, nice offwhite head and good lace. Flavors of medium dark roasted malts, earthy hop notes, definite bittersweet chocolate notes, light cinnamon and spice shows up as well as more earthy chocolate notes. Dry with light spice in the finish. Solid beer as usual from Draught Works.
