Pours a rusty brown with a light brown head. The head quickly diminishes to leave nice lacework.
Strong bitter hops caramel aroma with some spiciness.
Strong bitter taste with a bit of saltiness. Medium bodies with slight carbonation.
Pours clear, dark Amber red. Low to very low carbonation. Head disappears, leaves some lacing. Aroma: dark fruit, prune, caramel malt, wet cardboard. Taste: dark fruit, nutty, cheap caramel or toffee taste, staleness to it. The bitterness is low. Watery mouthfeel. Overall: think the bottle did not carbonate correctly, as it tastes stale, old, flat. 1l pet bottle. AntonyWilson (387) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - DEC 21, 2015
1L PET Bottle
Appearance: Deep amber, almost red. Cream coloured head which dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Spicy aroma from the hops with a slight biscuit aroma from the malt.
Taste: Definite spiciness from the hops. Malt profile subdued, possibly due to the bitterness, which does linger on.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation with a medium body. Finishes quite dry.
Overall: Found the hops a little overpowering. Would have enjoyed a bit more maltiness. aleksander9 (1785) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2013

(Plastic bottle 100 cl) Pours an almost clear amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of nuts and english aroma hops. Medium body with nutty accents, a little caramel and a dry, lightly hoppy finish. Very decent indeed. Wauw, the label is almost identical to Wychwood Hobgoblin. 100508
