On tap at Brauerei Drei Kronen (Schesslitz), Bayern, 5.10.17. As Drei Kronen Lagerbier. Clear gold with a white head. Malt and sweet aroma with some limestone. Sweetish, grainy malty taste. Dry, medium body, long finish with some fruit and fizzy.

Malzbetonter Antrunk, gut würziger Körper leicht rezent mit einer feinen Süsse. Ausreichend gehopft im Abgang. Sehr süffiges Lagerbier.

downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2015
On tap at the brewpub, 11/8/2015. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. Sweet beer, with some flabby, almost buttery, malts and a redeeming, bitter, finish. Ok.

TAR (2787) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JUL 13, 2014
Tap at the brewpub in May, 2013: Clear pale gold. Thick but broken white foam. Defective nose of cheesy yeast, wet hay, flowers and minerals. Hints of DMS, plaster and diacetyl. Soft prickles of loose carbonation. Dryly malty with a muddled tinge of creamy yeast and soured-fruit bite. While the malt could use more expressiveness and definition, it is fairly well-extracted and reveals sweet cookie and toasted bread flavors as well as imparting some fluffy textures. Spicy fennel sharpness and biscuit notes are marred by a tacky vegetal dullness and trace diacetyl in the finish. A potentially decent - if a bit straightforward and not particularly characterful - beer lurks beneath the minor blemishes. Pretty shabby as is, though.

hobsch (505) - Cologne, GERMANY - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle 0.5l. Pours slightly hazy golden with off white head. Aroma is malty, corn, touch of caramel, slightly sour. Taste is light to medium bitter and sweet, corn, buttery. Soft carbonation. Boring.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlichem Schaum. Geruch malzig, hopfig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig grasig, malzig, leicht würzig.

BeerViking (5046) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 19, 2013
On tap at Das Schwarze Schaf, Bamberg. Hazy gold with a thin white head and a faintly tart, vegetal, Saison like aroma that carries on into the lightly spicy and herbal body. Quite surprising for the Bamberg area, and very nice, the only downside is the faintly cloying sweetness in the finish.

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 22, 2013
draft at Drei Kronen Scheßlitz. aroma of cooked popcorn, butter and sulfur with only minor touches of grass and lemon hops. medium body, lightly sweet, low bitterness, watery texture in the finish. mild flavor throughout. grainy and coarse with notes of corn syrup. pear esters show up when it opens some. very basic. after this and the Roggn I don’t have a reason to return.
