hki. Black. Roasted malty nose, heavy, condensed, some coffee there. Full bodied, quite smooth, intense. Very dark chocolate, coffee beans, dry dark syrupyness. All messed together. Not too drinkable, just massive.
Strong smell of pecans isn't reflected so much in the taste, which is pretty heavy on the alcohol alongside some molasses and caramel. Nevertheless, very warming and rich. Quick3Beers (1320) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 10, 2017
Pours a black-brown from a bottle. Interesting molasses/pecan/rye bread aroma, similar flavor, rather sweet. Pretty good beer. beern (158) - Alabama, USA - SEP 9, 2017
Pours jet black with a tan head with an aroma of malt and cocoa. Tastes of deep, rich, viscous chocolate, malt, cocoa with very mild bitterness of bourbon and booze. The finish is nutty coffee. It's silky and sticky and clearly full bodied with moderate carbonation. It starts slightly sweet and finishes dry with a hint of astringency. It's complex, somewhat unique, warming and very good.
