Aroma caramel, chocolate, bourbon, woody,
Appearance black, brown foam,
Taste medium sweetness, medium bitterness,
Palate medium body,
Overall this is a really solid stout aged with bourbon. I would suggest this beer to a friend.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2017; vintage 2013, 4 years old
Black color. This Imperial Stout has some liquorice flavor, it's a bit nutty, sweet, with pronounced alcohol.
Not very harmonious but good.

Very weird this seasonal release comes every July but well worth the wait. One of my favorite imperial stouts. Some notes of soy and smoke makes for a unique additional to a rather mild and less boozy stout that some would prefer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at republic 7 corners during imperial black Friday. Black with small off white head. Sweet boozy nose. Taste is delicious sugary nuttiness. Perfect body. Excellent.

Pour oily black with minimal head. Aroma is chocolate, roast and vanilla. Taste is sweet chocolate with bitter coffee working in. Finish is all about the whiskey. A great, complex stout.

The aroma is light, a little bourbon some vanilla. Pours a dark brown with dark tan head mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is a medium bitter. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy, the carbonation soft and the finish bitter and long. Very Good! Smooth body, great taste and bitterness is well balanced.

Draught @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, vanilla, cocoa, earthiness and coffee. Taste is heavy, sweet and syrupy with loads of roastiness, vanilla, toffee, coffee, licorice, cocoa and chocolate, hints of bourbon. Finish is sweet, heavy and roasty with loads of coffee, cocoa, vanilla and chocolate, hints of bourbon. Sweet and heavy, quite complex. Alcohol is well hidden.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20171103) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, whisky, vineousness and vanilla. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vineousness, whisky, wood, vanilla and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, burnt and bitter. A well done barrel aged brew.
