Lots of lovely hop aromas followed by a nice medium bitter finish. The malt is restrained and let’s the hops shine. A really good beer

Bottle. Pours orange/gold with a small white head. Aroma of light fruit and hops. Tastes spicy and dry and finishes bitter.

Restrained but well balanced flavours making for an enjoyable beer. Good aroma and mouthfeel, but aftertaste while strong somewhat off in flavour is slightly off in taste.

piscator34 (2620) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 21, 2013
Bottled sample. Pale brass in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas are of mild sweet citrus, bramble, and clean pale malt. Flavors are of white grapefruit, black pepper, minerals, and a bit of malt. Medium bodied, with a surprising amount of bitterness and hop-burn on the back end. Dryer and less caramel-y than your typical old school APA, but lots of familiar flavors here too. Solid.

solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Pours clear amber with great lacing and good initial head. Light hops aroma with a little barnyard hops and atom. Pretty well balanced aroma. Good session ale. Finishes a little bitter but not a huge palate. On tap at the Beagle in Victoria.

Ambrée pale avec une petite mousse qui reste pas mal longtemps pour le style. L’arôme de malt et houblon avec un peu d’agrumes. Le goût est de malt très légèrement sucrée avec une grande presence d’houblon.

Orangey-golden with some head. Aroma is hop-forward, with citrus leading the way. Malt aromas and sweetness are secondary matters. Taste is bitterness with almost a tartness to it. Refreshing, but not quite sessionable.

Bottle - Light citrus and grass, pleasantly sweet. Clear light orange, light foamy white head. Nice hoppy and lightly bitter ale. Sessionable and very flavourful.

650ml bottle. Amber/orange with lasting foamy white head and lacing. Aroma of West Coast hops - citrusy and green. Initial hop kick turns soft and floral as you drink; caramel malts balance out the flavour which becomes lightly bitter-sweet. This is hop-forward but not too aggressive. Medium-bodied, average carbonation, easy to drink. Long, bitter finish. Subtle, nothing fancy, just effective.

reebtogi (6341) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 10, 2012
650ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy and citrusy with some light caramel. Taste is citrus and grassy hop bitterness with some underlying caramel malt sweetness. Light to medium bodied with some nice carbonation. A refreshing and easy to drink American style pale ale that is quite a palate pleaser.
