COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crooked Coast is inspired by the original Alt-style beer of Dusseldorf; “Alt” is German for old and the style a vestige of the days before lager yeast was discovered, when ales were what German Brewers produced. A marriage of the aromas of both German noble hops and caramel Munich malt, this quintessential session beer is defined by its delicate malt-hop balance.

Malts: Pilsner, Dark Wheat, CaraMunich
Hops: Tettnanger

A real summer beer! A nice crisp and citrus aroma that makes you think of a fresh beer. We have a very copper colour with a head that last when it is well served. The sparkling could be somewhat higher giving more life to the appearance, however, at serving temperature, the effect of the CO2 on the taste is well balanced.

The taste is very harmonious and refreshing. There is a good mix of sweetness, bitterness and it is a bit salty at the end. Despite the colour, this is a light and thin beer that is highly refreshing.

This is the kind of beer that respect the style and that I would hardly get tired of it.

Clear bright copper, big rocky off white head leaves definitive stepped lacing. Grassy floral hop aroma. Well hopped taste with a slight malt background emerging as it warms. Floral and fizzy. Unbalanced. Finishes dry and bitter. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

(Bottle) Pours copper amber with an off-white head. The aroma holds toffee and nuts up front. Undertones of light burned caramel, floral hop and light fruits/pears. The flavour is light sweet and noble bitter. Tones of nuts, toffee, flowers, wood and earth. The mouthfeel is clean and light soft with a light to medium carbonation. The finish holds a spicy, light to medium bitterness. Light bodied.

It tasted bitter to me, but it was a pleasant bitterness, with a nice sweet aftertaste. I love the beautiful colour.

Red in colour with white head. Some nice hops flavour coming through here, in addition to the typical altbier malty sweet flavour.

22. Pours a clear rubied medium amber with a big sudsy light tan head and plenty of webby lace. Very mild caramel and toast nose. Creamy light body; decent carb presence but very light on the tongue. A bit of tea on the mid palate, but not much, to go with the toast and caramel. Soft finish. Very easy drinker. Alt? Ale? Guess it doesn’t really matter.
