650ml bottle. Looks great, lively caramel brown, lots of head and lacing. Bready nose with some earth. Taste is lots of earthy hops over some light caramel malt. Not entirely balanced. Body is thinner than I was expecting. Overall, this was not the alt I was looking for, more like an IPVienna, (which I am not suggesting). rejtable (2838) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2013
Real beauty! Pours light amber with lots of foamy head, good lacing depth. Nose is a bit quiet, some earthy notes. Flavours showing cereal, light brown bread, light dark fruit, some lightish grassy bitterness. Medium body with lively carbonation with a somewhat dry finish. Taste is light sweet low bitterness. Nice. cfrancis (3574) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 26, 2013
Thanks to rejean for this. Pours ruby brown with a frothy white foam. Aroma is caramel and earthy hops. Taste is rich caramel, earthy malt and a nice hop bitterness in the finish. Not exactly a Frankenheim but still very tasty. Very much "inspired by" rather than to style. Reimer96 (1778) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 21, 2013
Pours a clear copper with a nice frothy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of bready malts, caramel, sweet brown sugar and some floral hops. Taste is bready malts, biscuit, grass, earthy hops and a nice bitterness on the finish. Well balanced altbier that has a clean and crisp finish. Draft. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex toasted balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate toasted complex flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of average duration. Good drinkable brew.

Well done altbier. Nice and wooden bitter at finish. Malty tang in aroma. Pours orange clear without much head or lacing. Average carbonation. Sampled at Garrick’s head. Ferris (16498) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 8, 2013
Bottle - Grains, some hops and sweet malt. Clear amber with a bubbly full off white head. Grains and some light brown sugar sweetness, a quick hit of bitterness and finishes on the grains again. Creamy taste but light on the tongue. My first Alt, but I will definitely seek out more. RD400F (233) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 11, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2013 Appearance: Bottle to tulip. Transparent burnt amber with a fluffy white head that tries your patience.

Aroma: Very nice...caramel, butterscotch, citrus and spices. The citrusy hops shine through a toffee biscuit malt.
Taste: Mirrors the aroma with a hop punch.
Palate: Mouthfeel is medium-thin. CO2 Medium, balance leans toward bitter.
Overall: Quite OK, but this tastes like an IPA to me.
Couleur ambrée avec une petite mousse. Nez d’houblon et malt. Le goüt et de malt légèrement sucré avec une profile forte d’houblon dans la finale. Presque comme une IPA mais plus maltée. RumRunner101 (918) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 16, 2013
Amber pour. Flavour is soft malts with a decent hop kick. Carbonation was a bit biting, but otherwise enjoyable.
