Bomber from ABC Liquor on Betton Rd: murky gold pour, white head. aroma of cereal malt, pine, herbal, tea vibe. tastes are sweet barley, honey, tropical fruits, resiny, moderately spiced, caramel. medium plus palate with soft carbonation. well put together, but too sweet and malty for my ipa tastes.

In the glass the beer has a golden amber color with a medium head. The nose has a good blend of hops, citrus and some bread. Taste has some grapefruit along with some tropical fruits and some grass. Well balanced IPA with a long finish.

At first glance, there was no bottled on date, and I bought it anyway. Only after I got home and poured it out could I finally see this faint dating on the neck of the bottle in the light and I was kind of disappointed. To have a bottling date is great, but it should also be clearly shown… not hidden away only to be seen at certain angles. Anyway, a 650ml bottle with a bottled on date of 12th April 2016, poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It poured a slightly hazy golden orange colour with a big three finger off white head that had good retention and left lots of sticky lacing. Strong orange, orange juice and orange zest aromas, tropical mango and passionfruit notes here and there along with pine and light caramel. Tastes lightly bitter citrus grapefruit, orange and orange zest. Sweet caramel malts, lightly biscuity, pine resin with a touch of pineapple. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall this IPA was pretty good with nice bitterness, albeit also a little on the sweet side for me with the caramel, biscuit and pineapple.

Bottle was from jul 18 purchased in a liquor store in Ontario. I was really looking forward to this beer. A lot of people really seem to enjoy it but mine was clearly old. I didn’t see the date on the bottle until I got home. The aroma was thin and the hop presence turned into a malty fruity sweetness. The mouthfeel I will say was perfect. It had a creamy texture to it. Sadly its freshness did not hold up

[email protected], Canada. Amber/Orangy coloured beer with a good foamy white coloured head. The aroma is gently hopped with some fruityness, and the flavour is very well hopped with plenty of dryness and a malty undertone. Overall a good IPA, but slightly too hoppy for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Textbook WCIPA. Lean, smart and hoppy. No real scars or distinguishing features, but just a tight IPA.

Tap and Barrel, Vancouver. White foam, pretty clear light orange-gold. Super fresh and inviting pine citrus aroma. Sparkling carbonation cuts the gorgeous resin. A bit of caramel malt to round it all out. Quite tasty.
