UPDATED: JUL 26, 2017 Our Go To IPA. Always suits the occasion. A nice happy/hoppy flavour with a touch of citrus. What’s not to like?

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2017 Always a go to beer in my household. Well rounded flora flavor with a good balance of hops to tease the taste buds.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized to large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (orange, apricot), lightly yeasty (dough), with a light note of celery seed. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Second beer from this brewery and just as plain/mediocre as the first. Very little aroma of any kind, even the hops don’t have anything to say. Slightly vegetal too. Drinks more like a DIPA (just as the Hopfenweisse is more of a Weizenbock than a Hefeweizen, they seem to be amplifying styles)...rather thick and goopy body, very sweet, and with very noticeable alcohol. Clumsy and fairly dull overall.

Tap at Beer Bistro, Toronto, 10th July 17. Pours light straw. Aroma is light floral, citrus blossom. Taste is floral, Centinnial hops perhaps, citrus and bitter. Good.

Initially an unwillingness to express itself beyond controlled astringency.,, Intelligent, repentant, honeyed sulphur; scent memory of a wet dog adulterated, positively, by having been shampooed; screeched tires mollified by baby powder and juice; sun in a singed brown mood; salt in a new domain; the body of coffee, but not the aroma; in a cabin where something good, something smooth that is grapefruit kindness, being summoned; a mahogany moment between pain and soothing... self-deprecating grains unappreciative of their own husks and earth; an aura of pithiness; hungry tang expressing restraint; a far distant, long extinct Edenic fruit fidgeting with its seedsl a sweetness unaware of any impending bitterness; the shimmering of base IPA substance in mid-transubstantiation; a prickliness crippled by apology; glass infused with dappled purples and crisp greens; earth coated in leaking stems; a mowed lawn’s clippings immediately resurfacing into succulent berry patches...

Over rated. At least here on rate beer. It’s an alright IPA but nothing more. I find red racer IPA in same league

Pours golden in color with a lacy sudsy white head. Beautiful rounded piney-fruity (melon) aroma. Rounded and balanced for the IBUs...moderately piney, moderately fruity, fairly forward malt body. Notes: on tap at Craft Beer Market, Vancouver trip May ’17

Bottled. Almost clear golden, mid sized head. Peppery mango aroma. Sweetish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with some syrup, grapefruit and mango. Long bitter finish with some saccharine.
