This traditional Belgian-style wheat ale is brewed with the addition of freshly-ground coriander and Curacao orange peel. Citrus and floral aromas outshine the hops and dominate the nose of this dry and quaffable beer, while the use of raw wheat adds cloudiness and enhances its mouthfeel.

Malts: Pilsner, Raw Wheat
Hops: Hallertauer

[2617-20091129] 650mL bottle. Sweet pineapple lemon citrus fruit aroma. Hazy, pale tan yellow body with quick foamy white bubbles. Bitter fruit pineapple hops flavour has some lemon pips. Light-medium body. Not bad, a little strange though.

Very pale white/straw coloured pour. Tight white head. The nose is quite laden with coriander. Flavour is similar. Lots of citrusy lemon/orange peel and even some lemongrass character. A pretty basic, by-the-number presentation. Watery palate with some light floury wheatiness. Meh - some distinct DMS character.

Pours cloudy pale with nice head of foam and good lacing. Some light banana but a watery flavour and watered down aroma overall. A little clove and citrus, but that may be from the lemon they put on the side. Finishes clean mostly but with some sourness. Soft carbonation. On tap at the beagle.

Bottle. Citrus aroma. Hazy yellow, low head. Fresh citric entry, good chewyness, sparkly mouthfeel, light perfumed retronasal. Unobstrusive in a good way - not too perfumed and sticky like many other wits tend to become. Moreish.

22. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a loose white head and bits of drippy lace. Big florally citric nose, showing lots of tangy sharp orange with some nice spice behind that. Creamy medium body with very reserved carb. Tangy from the oranges, almost lemony, with some very soft peppery spice. Sweet tart orangey finish.

My bottle [660ml] shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel. Pours a cloudy greenish-yellow with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, spices, herbs and citrus -- smells nice. Refreshing flavour, quite herbal and citrusy along with wheat, yeast and some spices. Average bodied. Pretty good, it’s a nice palate cleanser, refreshing and easy to drink.

July 18, 2010. 660ml bottle shared by blankboy with me, jerc & mabel. Very pale, almost greenish yellow, with a hug fluffy white head. Light citrus aroma, definite coriander, lemon grass - very lightly sweet, like heather or honey. The taste follows - definite lemon grass and coriander, with a little zing of citrus zest and a light herbal/floral bitterness - not my thing, but it’s clean. Light body, a little dryly acidic, with a quick dry finish - coriander in the linger.

Draft @ the Alibi Room, Vancouver. Pale light yellow pour. Lemon, coriander aromas. Taste was a bit heavy on the lemon. Spices also quite evident. A tad too fruity for me. Highly floral presence also
