This traditional Belgian-style wheat ale is brewed with the addition of freshly-ground coriander and Curacao orange peel. Citrus and floral aromas outshine the hops and dominate the nose of this dry and quaffable beer, while the use of raw wheat adds cloudiness and enhances its mouthfeel.

Malts: Pilsner, Raw Wheat
Hops: Hallertauer

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2009 Pours a crystal clear nearly colourless liquid - closest to water I’ve seen in a beer - with a decent head with poor retention and nice lacing. Tonnes of coriander in the aroma, and very little of anything else. Tastes very strongly of coriander, with just a touch of tartness. Aaaand... that’s it. Body is thin but lightly creamy with decent carbonation. What a let down, really - no orange, way too much coriander, no hops for miles. Definitely like their Ale better.

Colour: White gold....gorgeous! Nose: Cotton candy, strawberry, candied mangoes, touch of hay. Again gorgeous! Taste: Peppermint laced hop, non-biting pine cone, soft toffee, perfume touch. Plenty in the mouth but all of it much to soft. Other than this, a realy gem!

Very cloudy yellow, it almost looks white. Very pale. It has a thin white head. Aroma is mild and spicy with slight notes of wheat. Flavour is dull and light. It is slightly cheasy with a mild spice to it. Very thin. This is one of the weakest wits I have ever had. Dry boring finish. This beer is terrible!! Not a witbeir in my opinion. This is more like a thin paler version of grasshopper with some dull spice to make you think it is the real thing. Bull Shit!! This beer is the weakest witbeir I have ever had. \finally something worse than Richards’s white. I guess the commercial giants finally can brag that their wit isn’t the worst.

A great wheat beer! Notes of lemon and bread on the nose. An almost ethereal golden pour with a thin fizzy white head. Not much lacing. Flavours of breads, cereal grains, oranges, lemons, orange and lemon zest, coriander, wheat, and some grassiness. Really well flavoured and balanced. I enjoyed this one a lot.

On tap. Cloudy pale straw in colour. Nose is wheat, yeast, citrus. Flavour is nice and simple, but well balanced with some spice to it.

Bottle, split with mcberko. Pours cloudy pale yellow with a fine white head. Aroma of fungus and wheat. Flavour is the same, seeming quite stale. Low complexity and a little thin.

I like the lemony colour. The flavour and aroma were incredibly subtle; I would have preferred it to be stronger, but I enjoyed it.
