Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - NOV 17, 2015
Sample glass at Growler Garage, South Burlington, VT. The appearance was a semi-clear amber color with a nice transparencey allowing some carbonation to be seen rising at an appropriate pace. The smell started off with some roasty nuts, light toffee and a little bit of caramel. Light grassy hops slide in to balance nicely. The taste was mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors adding a spark of bitter to sweet grassy hops to balance. Toffee to caramel aftertaste with a dry sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a decent sessionable feel about it. Carbonation seems to run nicely. Nice bitterness runs in but isnít overbearing. Overall, nice amber ale with some bitterness for flavor. Iíd have again.
