Bottle 33cl bought at Bierhalle Deconinck in Vichte. Pours clear autumn brown with a medium beige head. Nose: cardemom, almonds, roasted malts, dried fruit, caramel, hints of hop. Taste: medium carbonation, amaretto flavour, hints of caramel, roasted malts, almonds, hints of hop and a warm alcoholic feeling. Nice brew this!

Brown with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have brown bread, raisins, caramel, wood and a bit of yeast. Quite full flavoured with a dry finish.

Heel lekker geurtje als je hem uiitschenkt, bruine kleur, maar aan de lichte kant, mooie witte schruimkraag. De smaak is zoals een typisch belgisch bruin bier. Geen topper, maar een goed bruin biertje.

Druïde’s second and the first beer fully made at the ’Proef’brouwerij, with yellowish beige, regular head and warm mahogany colour with orange hue, clear. Aroma of caramel, hazelnuts, figues, dried leaves, black pepper, bitter chocolate. Dry taste, dried fruits, chocolatey maltiness evolving into a slight roasted bitterness, grassy hoppiness. Too dry for a dubbel, at least to my personal taste.
