Bottle, at Landbierparadies, Wodanstrasse Nürnberg July 2005. Damn these ceramic mugs, possibly brown, gentle white head and moderate condition. Gentle malty aromas, soft sweet grain with a slight toastiness and delicate hop resin in the mouth and a restrained but lasting hop bitterness in the finish.

An amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is acidic malty with notes of caramel, and the flavor is also dominated by notes of caramel, leading to a dry end. The body is thin. JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - JUN 4, 2006
Clear copper-amber colour with brownish head, leaving textbook lace. Bready, freshly baked cake, eggbread, caramel malt. Much more bitter taste, quite dry, leafy flavours with hoptouch, and just a touch of (old) bread. Unfortunately there’s a distinct touch of diacetyl there too, responsible for near all the sweetness. Pity - would have rated much higher without. Retronasal again some bitterness - like horse chestnut flavour. Slick, well-filled, a tad too smooth. Pity about the diacetyl, otherwise good amber Vollbier. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 22, 2006
