Murky deep brown with a lovely foamy light beige head. Oak and deep Scottish roasted malts on the nose with some gentle whiskey. Very smooth flavor with lots of oak throughout, some balanced whiskey and dark roasted malts, gentle scotch ale tones, and a warm boozy finish. Earthy sweet. Very sippable and big, but not super complex. UncleKorm (1319) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 9, 2014
On tap, poured a muddy brown w/ small diminishing tan head. Big sweet whiskey aroma. Initial flavor is bold sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are brown sugar, fig, rye, whiskey, oak, and malt. Full bodied, syrupy mouthfeel and warm finish.
